La Obra Social de La Caja de Canarias, con la colaboración de la Asociación Síndrome de Down Las Palmas, inauguró el pasado jueves, 21 de febrero, una exposición en la que jóvenes con discapacidades trasladarán a los espectadores su especial forma de entender e interpretar los secretos del retrato fotográfico. Una muestra bajo el epígrafe ‘Otra mirada, la de todos’
El origen de la iniciativa está en un curso, celebrado el pasado año, en el que dos profesionales de reconocido prestigio como Tato Gonçalvez y Saro Acosta se embarcaron en el reto de enseñar a jóvenes con y sin discapacidad sobre las técnicas de este tipo de fotografía.
El grupo que se formó para la realización de ese curso estuvo compuesto por 8 personas con síndrome de Down, de edades comprendidas entre los 16 y los 32 años, y 4 personas jóvenes sin discapacidad; todos ellos contribuyeron a crear la batería de retratos fotográficos que a partir del jueves colgará en las paredes del Centro de Iniciativas de La Caja de Canarias.
Hasta llegar a esa exposición, el grupo, bajo la profesionalidad de Tato Gonçalvez y Saro Acosta, se está familiarizando tanto con la cámara fotográfica como con las técnicas del retrato, aprendiendo
a controlar la iluminación y algunos trucos, pero lo más importante, según los fotógrafos, es que se está estimulando sobremanera su creatividad.
