Con Chávez, recuperar América Latina

La historia está forjada de hombres y mujeres que nunca mueren, son los imprescindibles como escribiría Bertol Bretch. Habitan en las luchas y conquistas de sus pueblos, en su memoria histórica.
Martí no está muerto, tampoco lo está Bolívar, el Che Guevara sigue vigente en nuestras luchas, Olimpia continua alumbrando la defensa por los derechos, Frida nos sigue inspirando en su arte y transgresión.
La muerte de Hugo Chávez nos enluta, pero su vida y consecuencia nos llena de un regocijo enorme. Admirado y aclamado por muchos, odiado por tantos otros, principalmente millonarios, latifundistas y conservadores, su obra revolucionaria no será olvidada en América Latina, particularmente por los millones de personas que mejoraron su calidad de vida en Venezuela, por esos millones de personas que progresivamente se fueron constituyendo en ciudadanos; a las que finalmente alcanzó la riqueza del petróleo, de la seguridad social, de tener palabra en la construcción de su sociedad.
Con Hugo Chávez y el socialismo bolivariano, la solidaridad tuvo otra dimensión; el sueño y esfuerzo por construir otra América Latina, más nuestra, justa, humana, comenzó a andar por la senda que tanto acariciamos. El proyecto chavista es la fiel expresión de la acción de los movimientos sociales, de los millones de personas indignadas; Chávez no solo es Chávez, es la expresión de millones de personas que se sumaron a la construcción de esa patria grande.
Si el zapatismo levantó una bandera ética que no disparó balas en su revolución, y denunció con vigor el sinsentido del capitalismo, Hugo Chávez, y los millones de personas que lo apoyaron, emprendieron un cambio fundamental en una América Latina que había sido secuestrada, conquistada y diezmada por el neoliberalismo y la voracidad del capital. America Latina comenzó a ser otra, se dio el gusto de pensarse para si.
Sería difícil entender el proceso de cambio que asumió América Latina sin la fuerza vital que le imprimió Chávez a la revolución bolivariana. Enfrentó con hidalguía a un rey mata elefantes; expulsó diplomáticos; contrarió al imperio norteamericano; le regaló las Venas Abiertas de América Latina a Obama; en confluencia con otros líderes de la región, frustró las intenciones por crear el ALCA y contra atacó con el ALBA. Con Chávez, América Latina es más libre.

Esta noche la derecha dormirá feliz, tanto o más que cuando muera Castro. Estados Unidos remitirá sus sinceras condolencias. La BBC junto a El País y otros medios de comunicación informarán con una discreta sonrisa sobre la vida y muerte de Chávez. Las pitonisas anunciarán que Venezuela se acerca a la debacle. Los artífices del golpe de estado finalmente podrán celebrar, sin perder su objetivo de deshacerse a la brevedad de Evo, Cristina y Correa y restaura el orden que les resulta instrumental a sus intereses financieros y hegemónicos.
Mañana no inicia otro día, es uno más del largo recorrido que hemos emprendido, primero para liberarnos de los conquistadores europeos, más adelante y hasta el presente, de nuestras propias burguesías y del dominio del imperio. Chávez no está muerto, habita en el pueblo, un pueblo que se extendió más allá de su Venezuela.
Nuestros pueblos seguirán luchando incansables por su dignidad, por sus recursos, por su cultura, por su bienestar, por su definitiva emancipación. Chávez fue y lo seguirá siendo, uno de esos luchadores que inspirará a la viejas y nuevas generaciones.
