La violencia de género no nos es ajena. Conocemos historias trágicas y, desafortunadamente, también los nefastos resultados. Pero ver el día a día de la víctima es otra cosa. Ese ha sido el sentido de un video que se ha convertido en toda una sensación en las redes y que ha sido capaz de llamar la atención mundial sobre una de las mayores lacras sociales de la humanidad, como es el maltrato a la mujer. El video en cuestión muestra a una mujer que durante un año se fotografía a diario y muestra la cruenta realidad de la mujer maltratada. Golpes, laceraciones y contusiones acompañadas de lágrimas. Los medios y usuarios de internet debaten si se trata de un video real o si por el contrario es una campaña publicitaria orquestada para concienciar sobre la violencia de género.
El diario croata Telegraf señaló que esta chica, que en el vídeo dice llamarse Jedna, en realidad es una modelo llamada Mia HujiÄ que trabajó como presentadora en Italia y como modelo para firmas como Ralph Lauren y Jill Sander. La grabación utiliza la misma música que otro famoso viral en el que el joven Noah Kalina se hizo fotos a sí mismo durante 6 años para mostrar su evolución.
Uno de los momentos más impactantes del video llega justo al final, cuando la mujer muestra un cartel en el que se puede leer «Ayúdame, no sé si podré aguantar hasta mañana».
Más allá de si se trata de una historia real o una campaña de concienciación, lo que está claro es que perderse en discusiones sobre la autenticidad del video es una falta de respeto a las verdaderas víctimas de esta lacra. No veamos la grabación como una campaña publicitaria, veámosla como una realidad retratada. Ese es el punto de partida.

Gender violence is not alien to us. We know tragic stories and, unfortunately, also the harmful results. But see the day to day of the victim’s another thing. That was the sense of a video that has become a sensation in the networks and has been able to draw world attention to one of the greatest social ills of mankind, such as the mistreatment of women. The video in question shows a woman who is photographed for a year and daily shows the bloody reality of the battered woman. Bruises, lacerations and contusions accompanied by tears. The media and internet users debate whether this is a real video or whether on the contrary is an orchestrated campaign to raise awareness about gender violence.
The Croatian daily Telegraph said this girl in the video says Jedna called, is actually a model named Mia HujiÄ who worked as a hostess in Italy and as a model for brands like Ralph Lauren and Jill Sander. The recording uses the same music as another famous viral in which the young Noah Kalina took photos himself for 6 years to show its evolution.
One of the most shocking moments of the video comes at the very end, when the woman shows a sign that reads «Help me, do not know if I can hold out until tomorrow.»
Regardless of whether this is a true story or an awareness campaign, what is clear is that lost in discussions about the authenticity of the video is disrespectful to the real victims of this scourge. Do not see the recording as an advertising campaign, let’s see as a reality portrayed. That’s the starting point.

C’est tout le sens d’une vidéo qui a fait sensation dans les réseaux et a été en mesure d’attirer l’attention mondiale sur un des plus grands maux sociaux de l’humanité, tels que la maltraitance des femmes. La vidéo en question montre une femme qui est photographié pendant un an et montre chaque jour la réalité sanglante de la femme battue. Bleus, des lacérations et des contusions accompagnés de larmes. Les médias et les utilisateurs d’Internet que ce débat est une vraie vidéo ou si, au contraire, est une campagne orchestrée pour sensibiliser le public à la violence sexiste.
